STEEL REQUIRED FOR 1M3 CONCERT:-
Calculation is based on thumb rules it is essential for any civil engineer site engineer or civil supervisor.
Now taking various thumb rule for steel quantity calculation for 1cubic metre concrate.
THUMB RULE FOR STEEL IN KG/M3 :-
1. Thumb rule for steel in rcc slabe is 80kg/cubic meters of wet volume of concrate.
2. Thumb rule for steel in beam is 120 kg / cubic meter of wet volume of concrate.
3. Thumb rule for steel in column is 160 kg / cubic meter of wet volume of concrate.
4. Thumb rule for steel in footing is 40 kg / cubic meter of wet volume of concrate.
5. Thumb rule for steel in rcc structure is 100 - 120 kg /cubic meter of all calculated wet volume of concrate .
6. Thumb rule for steel in rcc structure is 3.5 kg to 4 kg /sq ft of built up area.
THUMB RULE FOR STEEL IN PERCENTAGE:-
1. Thumb rule for steel in general rcc structure is 1% - 4% of wet volume of concrate .
2. Thumb rule for steel in column is 2% - 4% of wet volume of concrate.
3. Thumb rule for steel in beam is 1% - 2% of wet volume of concrate.
4. Thumb rule for steel in footing is 0.5% - 1% of wet volume of concrate.
5. Thumb rule for steel in slab is 1% - 1.5% of wet volume of concrate.
QUANTITY OF STEEL REQUIRED FOR 1M3 CONCERT SLAB:-
THUMB RULE FOR STEEL IN SLAB=1% TO 1.5% ;
Minimum quality of steel required for 1m3 concrate slab is 1%. Now 1% of 1m3 = 0.01 m3 and we know that 1m3 steel weight is 7850 kg .so weight of 0.01 m3 steel =0.01 × 7850 = 78.50 kg
So minimum quantity of steel required for 1m3 concrate slab is 78.50 kg.
Maximum quantity of steel required for 1m3 concrate slab is 1.5% , now 1.5% of 1m3 =0.015 m3, and we know that 1m3 steel weight is 1750 kg. So weight of 0.015m3 steel =0.015×7850=118 kg.
So minimum quantity of steel required for 1m3 concrate slab is 118 kg.
QUANTITY OF STEEL REQUIRED FOR 1M3 CONCERT BEAM:-
THUMB RULE FOR STEEL IN BEAM =1% to 2%:
Minimum quality of steel required for 1m3 concrate beam is 1%, now 1% of 1m3 =0.01m3 .and we know that 1m3 steel weight is 7850 kg. So weight of 0.01m3 steel = 0.01 × 7850 =78.50 kg.
So minimum quantity of steel required for 1m3 concrate beam is 78.50 kg.
Maximum quantity of steel required for 1m3 concrate beam is 2% , now 2% of 1m3 =0.02m3 and we know that 1m3 steel weight is 7850kg. So weight of 0.02m3 steel =0.02 × 7850 =157 kg.
So minimum quantity of steel required for 1m3 concrate beam is 157kg.
QUANTITY OF STEEL REQUIRED FOR 1M3 CONCERT COLUMN:-
THUMB RULE FOR STEEL IN COLUMN =2%-4% :
Minimum quality of steel required for 1m3 concrate beam is 2%, now 2% of 1m3 = 0.02m3 and we know that 1m3 steel weight is 7850 kg. So weight of 0.02m3 steel =0.02×7850 = 157 kg.
So minimum quantity of steel required for 1m3 concrate column is 157kg
Maximum quantity of steel required for 1m3 concrate column is 4% , now 4% of 1m3 = 0.04 m3. and we know that 1m3 steel weight is 7850 kg. So weight of 0.04m3 steel = 0.04 × 7850 = 314 kg.
So maximum quantity of steel required for 1m3 concrate column is 314 kg.
QUANTITY OF STEEL REQUIRED FOR 1M3 FCONCERT FOOTING:-
THUMB RULE FOR STEEL IN FOOTING = 0.5% TO 1% :
Minimum quality of steel required for 1m3 concrate footing is 0.5% , now 0.5% of 1m3 = 0.005m3, and we know that 1m3 steel weight is 7850 kg. So weight of 0.005 × 7850 = 40kg.
So minimum quantity of steel required for 1m3 concrate footing is 40 kg.
Maximum quantity of steel required for 1m3 concrate footing is 1%, now 1% of 1m3 = 0.01 m3 and we know that 1m3 steel weight is 7850kg. So weight of 0.01m3 steel = 0.01 ×7850 = 78.50 kg.
So maximum quantity of steel required for 1m3 concrate footing is 78.50 kg.
